HOULTON, Maine — Region Two and RSU 29/70 Adult Education recently recognized six students for their completion of a 60-hour work prep course at the Houlton Higher Education Center.

This course is designed around seven WorkReady Standards that are recognized statewide by employers as being important for employee performance and dependability — standards such as motivation, personal appearance, communication, and teamwork.

These six students will be obtaining jobs locally and pursuing the career areas that they identified as being appropriate for them during the course.

For more information about the WorkReady Standards training and how it could benefit your organization, contact Bernadette Farrar or Otis Smith at the Houlton Higher Education Center at 521-3100 x5.
