PT Lawrence ParksPARKS, Lawrence L. Jr., 69, Apr. 23, 2016. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 27 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Houlton. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton. 

 

HOULTON —Lawrence L. Parks Jr., 69, passed away on April 23, 2016 in Houlton with his family by his side. He was born on August 31, 1946 in Houlton, the son of Lawrence L. and Ella (Chambers) Parks Sr.

Larry grew up in Houlton and was no stranger to hard work. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved his family dearly and would do anything for those around him. Larry served in the United States Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He was employed at Houlton International for 33 years and Houlton High School for 10 years as a custodian. He was dedicated to the high school and cared for the students dearly. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen (Botting) Parks of Houlton; son, Jeffrey Parks of Montpelier, VT; grandchildren, Michael Willette Jr., Amanda Campbell, Jarrid Willette; three great grandchildren, Deven, Jacob and Brooke; ​step-son, Michael Willette Sr. of Houlton; brother, Michael Parks and wife, Wanda of Houlton; sister, Cheryl Jones and husband, Ed of Sanborn NY; brother-i​n-laws​, Leon Botting and Judy of Island Falls, Neal Botting of New Limerick and Owen and Gloria of Island Falls​; brother-in-law, Leon Botting and Judy of Island Falls; special friend Josephine McGuire; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; step-son, Mark Willette; two brothers-in-laws, Dale and Ronald Botting; special friend Harry McGuire III.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27th at the Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton with Rev. Randall Burns officating.
