WAKEFIELD, Percy Carney, 88, ASHLAND, ME, at Tomball, TX, April 3, 2016. There will be a Memorial Mass and burial service directly following Mass at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Ashland, on July 18, at 11 a.m. for both Percy and Anna Wakefield.
ASHLAND – Percy Carney Wakefield, 88, died on April 3, 2016, in Tomball, TX. Born March 18, 1928, in Sheridan, ME, to Percy L. Wakefield Sr. and Meddie Carney Wakefield.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Ferne Danforth Wakefield in December 2013. Percy is survived by sisters: Sylvia Paradis; Diane Wakefield, children: Camille Wakefield; children: Adam Wakefield and Amy White; Wanda Wakefield, husband, William Yale, son, Kirk Smith; Peter Wakefield, wife, Claudia, son, Joseph; Jayne Wakefield, husband, Dana Ahern, daughters, Samantha Michalka and Angela Michalka; Phyllis Wakefield Walker, husband, Jeff, children, Stephanie Walker and Brandon Walker; Alan Wakefield, wife, April Gray-Wakefield and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He worked for many years at Jimmo’s Store, Ashland schools and Great Northern. He was hardworking and made sure that his family was provided for to the best of his abilities. After his retirement, Percy and Anna moved to Texas to enjoy the rest of their lives together.
Percy enjoyed fishing, camping, telling stories, being around family and friends.
