CARIBOU, Maine — A local woman has been accused of stealing from a Rite-Aid in Caribou and running out of the store.

Trishia Willette, 25, of Caribou was arrested Saturday and charged with Class C theft, possession of a schedule W drug (namely heroin), and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a release from the Caribou Police Department.

Caribou officer Douglas Bell later found Willette hiding in an area behind the store and in possession of an item reported stolen from the Rite Aid, according to police.

Willette also was in possession of items commonly used to package drugs, according to the release.

Unable to make bail set at $2,500 cash or $25,000 surety, Willette remained in Aroostook County Jail on Monday awaiting a June 9, 2016 arraignment.
