HOULTON, Maine — Matt Nightingale, incoming Rotary President for 2016-17, announced Thursday that the club is now accepting requests for project funding for the year. The funding request should include a short explanation of your non-profit groups’ project, goals for potential funding requirements and for whom the funding will primarily benefit. For consideration, submit requests by June 3.
Requests should be mailed to: Houlton Rotary Club, P.O. Box 425, Houlton, Maine 04730, the attention of Matt Nightingale.
Projects funded through Houlton Rotary have included the Just for Kids Playground, Riverfront Project, Soap Box Derby, Houlton Amphitheater, Cary Library, Dollars for Scholars, Sarah’s House, several International projects and many other worthwhile causes. The Houlton Rotary Club’s 75 members are dedicated to raising funds to help non-profit organizations in our community.
“We are proud to have served the area for over 96 years and would like to invite interested community members to join us for a meeting at noon on Mondays,” Nightingale said.
