LIMESTONE: Building Body Stability exercise class for seniors, 10-11 a.m. at the Robert A. Frost Memorial Library. Teacher: Julie French. Cost: $6/lesson.

Thursday, May 5

WOODLAND: Meeting of the joint committee of School Union 122 at 6 p.m. at the Woodland School library.

Friday, May 6

CARIBOU: Marko the Magician at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Performing Arts Center, sponsored by the Caribou High School Class of 2018. Proceeds to benefit senior year activities. Tickets are $20 each. FMI: 493-4260.  

PRESQUE ISLE: Opening reception at UMPI’s Reed Fine Art Gallery, 5-7 p.m., for “Plein Air Painters of Maine.” Gallery talk at 5:30; light refreshments. Free and open to public. Exhibit runs May 2-June 19, featuring works painted under the open sky.

PRESQUE ISLE: Opening reception in UMPI’s Pullen Gallery for Emma Ruff’s senior show. Gallery talk at 6:30; free and open to public. Exhibit runs May 6-11.

Saturday, May 7

CARIBOU: Display of military artifacts from the Revolutionary War through Desert Storm at the Caribou Historical Center and Museum, 1033 Presque Isle Rd. Open to the public Saturdays 12-4 p.m. All are welcome.

LIMESTONE: The Limestone United Methodist Church will host former ranger and author Tim Caverly at 6 p.m. Homemade pie and ice cream following the presentation. A free-will offering will be taken. All are welcome.

Monday, May 9

LIMESTONE: Book club at the Robert A. Frost Memorial Library at 1 p.m. May’s book is “The Orphan Master’s Son” by Adam Johnson. FMI: 325-4706.

LIMESTONE: United Methodist Women’s annual Sisters in Faith banquet at the Limestone United Methodist Church, 6 p.m. Potluck: Please bring a dish to share.

Wednesday, May 11

CARIBOU: Bird watching hosted by Aroostook Birders with Bill Sheehan, 7-8 a.m. Meet at the Collins Pond covered picnic table on lower Roberts Street at 7 a.m. Light walking.

PRESQUE ISLE: Free workshop on understanding Medicare and the Medicare Savings Program with instructor/agent Susan Staples, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library.

Thursday, May 12

PRESQUE ISLE: Dining with Diabetes class, 1-3 p.m. at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Presque Isle.

Friday, May 13

PRESQUE ISLE: Caribou Choral Society presents its 39th annual spring concert, “We Are the Music Makers,” 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church. All are welcome; bring a friend.

CARIBOU: Rummage and bake sale at Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, corner of Prospect and Sweden streets, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Proceeds to benefit mission projects.
