HOULTON, Maine — The Greater Houlton Christian Academy will host a bike-a-thon for its schoolchildren on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
Pet owners, particularly those who have dogs, along the bike-a-thon trail are asked to keep their animals inside or properly restrained so as not to interfere with the young bicyclists between the hours of 7 a.m. and noon.
A 10- and 20-mile ride will cover the White Settlement, Catalina, Hodgdon Mills, Walker, Porter Settlement, Bangor and the County roads (3 miles from town).
A longer 60- and 100-mile ride will see cyclists travel to Haynesville and parts of New Limerick.
