CARIBOU and EAST THETFORD, VT – Douglas Allen Doody, 61, passed away May 5, 2016 at Presque Isle following a courageous battle with melanoma.
He was born in Caribou, April 29, 1955, the son of the late Malen and Jane (Beaupre) Doody. Douglas was a 1973 graduate of Caribou High School, as well as a 1975 graduate of Southern Maine Community College with a degree in Culinary Arts. He was employed as a carpenter in the East Thetford, VT area where he had made his home for the past 30 years. Douglas loved to fish, hunt and spend time in the outdoors with his family.
He is survived by three brothers, Rodney Doody and wife Julie of Platte City, MO, Dean Doody and wife Robin of Presque Isle, Mark Doody of Hallowell; one sister, Malene Doody Bossie of Portland; nieces and nephews, Kellen Tallman and husband Austin, Andy Bossie and partner Gary Wagner, Kaitlyn Umphrey and husband James, Lance Doody and wife Megan and Alex Doody. Douglas was predeceased by a nephew, Ryan Douglas Bossie.
