Babysitters course

     The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will host a babysitters course May 14, 2016 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for those ages 11-15. Youth planning to babysit will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly provide care to children and infants. The fee is $35, which includes lunch. Pre-registration is required.

Pitch, Hit and Run

     The Major League Baseball-sponsored program will be held May 15, with registration at 12:30 p.m. and the competition beginning at 1 p.m. Those between the ages of 7 and 14 are eligible and there is no fee. Registration in advance is a must.

CRX registration

     Registrations are now being accepted for the summer CRX program, which is an outdoor recreation program for youth in grades 5-11. Kayaking, canoeing the Allagash, climbing Mt. Katahdin, backpacking in Baxter State Park and mountain biking are among the programs being offered. Summer program booklets

     The annual summer program booklet can be viewed online at caribourec.org and is also available on the department’s Facebook page. The paper booklets will be also dispersed to the Caribou elementary schools and the middle school in the next few weeks.
