WASHBURN, Maine — A local woman died May 3, 2016 while using a tractor to dig post holes with her husband, according to police.
Ruth Whitmore, 45, died while working with her husband on their Tabor Road property, said Washburn Police Chief Roy Guidry.
“There was an accident and as a result she was killed immediately,” said Guidry.
The police chief declined to offer further details about how the accident happened or how Whitmore died, but he said there would be no further investigation.
