PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A student will win free tuition at Northern Maine Community College thanks to a fundraiser sponsored by the NMCC Alumni and Friends Organization and the college.
The winner will receive 12 free credit hours for fall 2016 and 12 for spring 2017. This is the raffle’s fourth year.
“For the first time, the Alumni and Friends Organization will be paying for half of the cost of the tuition prize,” said Mark Bouchard, alumni group president.
“We were happy to support the Alumni Organization by allowing them to keep the proceeds of previous raffles. This allowed them to continue their important work of reaching out to alumni through Homecoming and regional gatherings,” said Tim Crowley, NMCC president.
Tickets are $10 each or six for $50, and are available at the NMCC alumni office or from members. Second prize is a $250 gift certificate to the college store. Winners will be drawn Aug. 22, 2016.
Last year’s winners were Larry Spencer of Caribou and Garrick Alley of Stockholm.
