Lucien J. Longlais

  American Flag Color   LIMESTONE —Lucien J. Longlais, 88, passed away May 12, 2016 at his Limestone residence. He was born in Caribou, October 3, 1927 the son of the late Johnnie and Margaret (Levesque) Longlais.  Lucien married Cecile Levesque in 1955, and she predeceased him in October 1999. 

     Mr. Longlais served with the US Air Force, during WWII, Korea and Vietnam, retiring after 23 years of service. Following his retirement he was employed at Potato Service in Presque Isle for a number of years as well as working 20 years at the Loring Air Force Base bowling alley. 

     He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Kandy Longlais of North Ridgeville, OH, one daughter, Betty Longlais of Limestone, his grandchildren, Christina Smiciklas, JJ Gilmen, and Lucien Longlais, his great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gareth Smiciklas, Kiara and Brycen Longlais, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Longlais was predeceased by two sons, Lucien “Peewee” Longlais Jr., and Robert Longlais, a daughter, Linda Longlais Powell, two sisters, Cecile Belanger, and Theresa Walton.
