PRESQUE ISLE – Patricia Lynch “Pat” Graves passed away peacefully May 12, 2016, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born July 25, 1927, in Easton to Owen and Rowena (Nason) Lynch.
On November 5, 1946, she married Robert Graves and they remained together their entire lives until Bob’s death in 2004. Pat had few outside interests other than the care of her family. She put them first always and she will be missed greatly by all of her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and anyone who knew her.
She and Dad helped create so many wonderful memories from the early years at Cross Lake to later in life at their place in Sugarloaf, everything they ever did was done for their children, their children’s friends and later their extended families and grandchildren. It is fair to say that nothing in life brought them greater joy.
Along with her husband, Patricia was pre-deceased by her brothers, Yale and John Lynch; and her beloved grandson, Logan Graves.
She is survived by six children and their spouses: Ingrid and her husband, Joe Mesimer, Sheila and her husband, Kevin Bishop, Cindi and her husband, Mike Wallace, Robert Graves Jr. and his wife, Lynne, Gregory Graves and his wife, Rebecca, Michael Graves and his wife, Susan; grandchildren: Robert Graves III and wife, Tracy, Patrick Graves and wife, Chelsea, Jamie Bishop and wife, Kate, Caitlin Wallace Helstrom and husband, Chris, Megan Bishop Smith and husband, Evan, Ryan Graves and wife, Stephanie, Trevor Graves, Jordyn Graves, Connor Graves, and her “special angel”, Sean Graves, Quinn Graves, Lauren and Hannah Graves; great-grandchildren: Emma and Aidan Graves, Knox Graves, Wyatt and Gracie Graves, Adalyn and Avianna Graves; Miles Helstrom, Iris Graves; and her caregiver and friend, Dot Green.
At her request, there will be no services. Donations may be made to the Logan P. Graves Foundation, P.O. Box 429, Presque Isle, ME 04769-0429. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Aroostook Visiting Nurses for all the excellent care and support.
