CARIBOU, Maine — Those who have fought and sacrificed for their country will be honored in the city of Caribou on Monday, May 30, 2016 with a parade as well as a ceremony at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
A Memorial Day parade, sponsored by members of the Henry B. Pratt, Jr., ME Post 15 American Legion, will begin at 10 a.m. near the County Courthouse on Sweden Street and will go through to the Veterans’ Memorial Park on South Main Street.
The ceremony at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery on Lombard Road will commence at 1 p.m. and will feature keynote speaker Adria Horn, director at the Maine Bureau of Veteran Services.
Additional speakers include Northern Maine Veteran Cemetery Chairman Harry Hafford, Phil Bosse of U.S. Senator Susan Collins’ Office, Sharon Campbell of U.S. Sen. Angus King’s Office, and Kim Rohn of Congressman Bruce Poliquin’s Office.
