Ricker Rumblings

Here I am again, and what a beautiful Sunday God has sent us. Thank you very much.

The community room was busy on Thursday when the tenants had a nice get-together with a potluck. The menu was fried chicken, red hot dogs, casseroles, chips, cheese and crackers, cupcakes and Oreos, sodas and other refreshments. A good time was had by all.

Margaret Drew was one of the swimmers in a class in Woodstock, N.B., at the arena on Wednesday.

Kathryn Hall was a Sunday caller on her mother, Lois Downing.

Also calling on Lois were Ruben and Mae Albert of Patten with a friend, Eula, on Sunday.

The window workers installing new windows at the plaza have been working in Presque Isle; that is the word, I’m told. They will be back to finish their job at Ricker Plaza soon.

A little bit of angel news: “My angel is like the mighty oak, staunch and strong, loyal and true. My angel is like the mighty wind, bold and brave, courageous and free.”

Have a nice week. Be kind and joyous.
