Two items related to RSU 39 budget

CARIBOU, Maine — City council held a brief meeting last Wednesday in which they approved two referendum questions related to RSU 39.

The first question asks whether or not voters approve of the recently adopted school budget.

The second questions asks voters if they wish to continue the budget validation referendum process for three more years, and clarifies that a “yes” vote will keep the process as it has been for three more years while a “no” vote will require the annual school budget to be adopted through a meeting of voters for at least three years.

Voting will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Wellness Center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will only be accessible to those who are registered voters.
