Riverside Public Market opens Friday
IN THE CITY
By Ken Arndt
When you take a leisurely walk or a casual drive along Riverside Drive, you’re bound to see the City’s new outdoor pavilion … it’s initially going to serve as the new home to the Riverside Public Market vendors.
We’ve also begun to schedule it for other multiple uses, like movies, music, non-profit and business festivities and outings.
The 2016 Riverside Public Marketplace will open for business starting on Friday, June 3, 2016 and will be open every Friday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., until mid-October.
At the beginning of the market vending season, and we’d like to have more vendors join us, the Riverside Public Market will start with at least nine outstanding participating vendors:
Work & Play Farms from Easton, Windy Hill Wood Art Studio of Easton, Aroostook Beef Company from New Canada, Salmon Brook Valley Maple Products of Perham, Kat’s Naturals from Bridgewater, Larry Bubar Books of Presque Isle, SAD 1 School Farm of Presque Isle, and Foot, Face and Fanny Soaps of Houlton.
Making exciting and practical projects, like the Riverside Public Marketplace, expand and succeed is important to the character and fiber of our community, so please visit your Marketplace and make some fun and healthy purchases on a regular basis.
See you there!
