Presque Isle man, 87,
injured in rollover accident in Woodland
WOODLAND, Maine — A Presque Isle man was injured Friday afternoon when his pickup truck left Route 161, struck a utility pole and rolled over, according to Maine State Police.
Carl McGlaughlin, 87, was driving his 2009 GMC Canyon north about 4:30 p.m. when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel, Trooper Adam Stoutamyer said in a press release.
The pickup drifted off the right side of the roadway, hit the pole and continued to travel as it rolled over once before comting to rest on its wheels down the embankment.
McGlaughlin, who was alone in the truck, was treated at Cary Medical Center in Caribou and released.
