CONNOR TWP. – Lawrence Joseph Levesque, 91, passed away May 31, 2016 in Madawaska. He was born May 16, 1925 in St. Anne, New Brunswick, Canada the son of the late Albert and Amanda Levesque. Lawrence married Anne Hathaway September 14, 1954 and they renewed their love 50 years later, in 2004. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in North Caribou. Lawrence spent a great amount of time working in the woods and repairing old vehicles or chainsaws.

He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Anne, his parents, and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Karen Porter of New Gloucester, Larry Levesque Jr, of Leigh High Acres, FL, David Levesque of Caribou, Gregory Levesque of Woodland, Cathy Frank of Corinna and Scott Gorneault of Perham, whom Anne and Lawrence raised; a sister, Edwina VanNess of CO; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; all of whom he loved immensely; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
