Ricker Rumblings

Good morning, everyone. Glad to be back on board this morning.

It was nice to see Sylvia Thompson, who was in the building one day recently.

Sally Reed died recently. She was a relative of Thomas Suitter, who lives here. I can still hear Sally’s laughter — a very nice person. She will be missed.

I will be remiss if I don’t mention Randy, who was a cook at the local jail, who died recently. Randy lived on High Street and was responsible for all the decorating with the Halloween and Christmas ornaments on his house. I remember when the officials closed the street, it was so busy. The kids loved it and also the parents. God bless Randy and his family.

Kathryn Hall of Brewer was a visitor of her mother, Lois Downing, over the weekend.

The rain has hurt a lot of plans but we have to take what we get.

I have just finished reading “Chainsaw Mama: Life on a Northern Maine Dairy Farm,” by Lee Rae Jordan Oliver. It was a good read, as they say. Lee Rae was and is a hard worker, as her husband is. They have three children and live on Westford Hill in Aroostook County. I admire their workmanship.

On angels: “Guardian angel sent from above, bless me today and those I love.”

Oh, yes: For those guardians and fathers, have a super day. You deserve it.

See you soon and have a week full of love and good health.
