HOULTON— Dariel E. “Buvy” McKee, Jr. 58, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 19, 1958 in Bristol, CT, the son of Grace (Joseph) and Dariel McKee, Sr.

Buvy grew up in Ludlow and attended local schools. He later obtained his GED and served his country in the US Army. Buvy received his Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology at NMVTI. He was a long haul truck driver for many years and also worked as a carpenter and a mechanic. Buvy was a jack of all trades, who built his own house and would often use his skills to help others. Buvy had a huge heart and cared for many people, also loved animals. He had a great sense of humor and was a great storyteller. Buvy was also a published author who did archeological work in Maine alongside David Putnam, Phd.

Dariel is survived by his mother Grace of Biddeford; Buvy leaves behind his daughter Darielle McKee and her two sons Raistlin McKee Gogan and Tristin McKee Gogan all of Houlton; his son John Joseph Stratton of Houlton; his granddaughter Karlee Brisley; five sisters Jean McKee, Annette McKee, Diana McKee and her husband John Marcotte all of Biddeford, Karen Anderson and her husband Wayne of Fort Kent, Christie McKee Dobbins and her husband Jack of Houlton; one brother Daren McKee and his girlfriend Kerry of Canaan; the mother of his children Marianne Bell of Houlton; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Dariel Sr., his son Joshua Stratton, two sisters Audrey McKee and Norma McKee, and his brother Anthony McKee.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m., June 10, 2016 with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment was in the Ludlow Cemetery.
