HOULTON — The Maine State Police Troop F Barracks responded to the 155 calls for service from Monday, June 6 to Sunday, June 12. The following is a collection of the more noteworthy calls.
Monday, June 6
– Cpl. Hafford and Trooper Curtin responded to Eagle Lake for a male who wanted a female removed from his residence. The female was removed and Cpl. Hafford summonsed the male for criminal mischief after he broke the female’s cell phone.
Tuesday, June 7
– Trooper Pescitelli received a call from Presque Isle Police Department requesting assistance in searching for a male subject, who lives in Mars Hill, who was wanted on a domestic violence assault charge. Trooper Pescitelli went to the subject’s residence, located the subject, arrested him, and transported him to Presque Isle Police Department.
– Cpl. Michaud began investigating a theft in Mapleton where a home care provider was suspected of stealing money from an elderly patient. The case remains under investigation.
Wednesday, June 8
– Trooper Luce investigated an unauthorized use of a debit card that was lost in Wallagrass. The 19-year-old suspect found the card and proceeded to use it at three separate stores in the Fort Kent area. Trooper Luce went to the businesses where the card was used, obtained evidence, and issued the suspect a criminal summons for the violations.
– Trooper Curtin began investigating a shoplifting complaint from Coffin’s General Store in Portage. The owner had a plate number and name of the offender. The 20-year-old suspect from Westbrook was located and returned the property so the store owner decided he didn’t want to press charges any longer.
– Trooper Saucier investigated a theft of services after a report by Emera that one of their customers was bypassing the meter box. As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old Island Falls woman was charged with the theft.
Saturday, June 11
– A woman from Biddeford called the State Police reporting her mother, age 77 who has dementia, left a camp they were staying at in Monticello sometime in the night, in a Toyota Highlander. The woman stated her mother believes she is still in the area and may be trying to drive home. Cpl. Quint took all of the woman’s information and asked the dispatcher to put the information into the State computer system alerting all law enforcement agencies of the missing woman. A couple hours later a Lincoln Police Officer was called to the local Wal-Mart for a woman who was acting confused. The officer spoke with the woman and when he saw what she was driving for a vehicle knew it was the woman listed in the teletype. Arrangements were made for the officer to stay with the woman and the family until the family could get to her from Monticello.
Sunday, June 12
– Trooper Bell and Recruit Kilcollins responded to a domestic violence assault in Hodgdon. The two victims alleged that a female suspect assaulted them after the suspect returned home heavily intoxicated. The suspect fled before troopers arrived on-scene, but was eventually found and arrested. Sgt. Fuller, Trooper Endre, and Recruit Adams assisted at the scene.
