HOULTON, Maine — The Maine Public Broadcasting Network has announced the return of its “Music that Moves Me” series to Maine Public Radio, and this year, to Maine Public Classical. This is the fourth year MPBN celebrates the power of music across Maine with a series of audio diaries.
In addition, an instrument drive for needy student musicians is also taking place, with a drop-off location at the Houlton Town Office. MPBN is collecting previously used, working instruments so that they may be placed in the hands of Maine children who would love to play, but do not have the resources to either rent or purchase their own.
Instruments will be accepted through June 30 at the town office during regular business hours. For more information, call 532-7111.
