Houlton Rifle, Pistol Club holds gathering

HOULTON, Maine — A ten-target, handicapped scored shoot was held during the winter months. At the annual Houlton Rifle and Pistol club potluck supper held Sunday, June 12, several members were lauded for their accomplishments.

Using a .22 rifle, Curtis Harrison averaged 97.9, while Paul Harrison averaged 96.7, and Matthew Nightingale, 96.5. Firing a .22 pistol, Paul Harrison averaged 95.1, while Curtis Harrison averaged 95.0, and Trueman Jones, 94.2.

With a centerfire pistol, Paul Harrison’s average was 96.6, while David Hutchinson averaged 94.2 and Curtis Harrison, 93.9. In the novice .22 pistol class, Fred Ludwig averaged 82.8 and Mike Parks 81.8.

Prizes were awarded to all the finalists.
