ISLAND FALLS, Maine — VaJoWa is looking forward to a fantastic Independence Day holiday weekend! We are celebrating with our annual Flag Tourney on Monday, July 4, 2016. This event is always a fun way to show your patriotism.
How it works: You can start at anytime during the day as long as you can get 18 holes in before 4 p.m. You can play with whomever you want. Each player will be given a flag at the beginning of the round and a target score (the player’s handicap plus 72). Once the player has hit his target score he places the flag where that shot ends. The fee is $10 per golfer.
Pairs and Spares golfers met on Sunday. Results will posted in next week’s article. Pairs and Spares golfers meet on Sundays at 3 p.m. There is a $2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
Twilight League is underway. We are still looking for one more team to play on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., if you are interested please call the Pro Shop Please remember to make up you matches prior to the next Tuesday. Thank you!
