Dean Nason, 75, passed away Wednesday June 29, 2016 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born August 7, 1940, in Linneus, the son of Enzely and Grace Nason. Dean grew up in Linneus and attended local schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during his time there. Upon his discharge he went to work as a long haul truck driver and over the years he drove to all of the states except Hawaii and Alaska. He loved trucking and many times he and Shireen would go together. Deans last employer was Robbie Farrar of Sunshine Trucking and to whom the family would like to extend a special thank you. He will be remembered as a hard worker with a great sense of humor.
He leaves behind his loving partner and love of his life for twenty five years, Shireen Belyea of Monticello, twelve children; Howard, Heather, Kathryn, Enzely, Bonnie, Michelle, Sherri, John, Deanna, Justin, Cindy, several grandchildren, a brother Bruce Nason of Houlton, a sister Shelby Hoyt and her husband Darrell of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves behind “children” Beth Dow and her husband Brian of Monticello, Fred Belyea and his wife Stephanie of Killeen, TX, Mildred Vrieze and her husband John and their son Gabriel. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Laura Nason and a brother Phil Nason. Other friends and care takers the family would like to recognize are Jeannie Clark, Irvin Farrar, Rhoda Farrar and Hospice of Aroostook.
