CARIBOU — Margaret “Peggy” Swan, 73 passed away June 27, 2016 at Van Buren. She was born in Caribou February 12, 1943 the daughter of the late Axel and Hazel (Kelley) Lindgren.

She was a graduate of Anchorage School of Nursing and was employed as a CNA, working in nursing homes in New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Florida, Presque Isle and more recently was a homecare nurse in the Caribou area. She was a longtime faithful member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew Swan of Orange, VA., and Charles Swan and wife Sandra of Woodland, one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Isabel Lindgren Jones of Springfield, OR; one sister and brother-in-law, Alexis and Larry Ward of Woodland, a daughter-in-law, Donna Swan of Milbern, KS., eight grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Shawn, Erin, Philip, Heather, Levi and Morgan, two great-grandchildren, Kaylee Dawn Kelley and Aaliyah Renee Swan, her former husband, Phillip Swan of Sebastian, FL., special aunts, Amelia Kelley and JoAnn Kelley, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Swan, and a grandson Danny. Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 12 noon until time of services which were held at 1pm from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Roger Jewell officiating. Interment was in the New Sweden Cemetery.
