BENEDICTA — Terese Catherine (Brennan) Albert, 91, died June 28, 2016, in Bangor surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1925, in Benedicta, the daughter of Jerry and Annie (Lawler) Brennan. S

Terese was the sixth of seven daughters. She graduated from St. Benedict’s High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1942. Terese moved to Bridgeport, CT, and worked for UAU:CIO, later moving to Hingham, MA, where she worked as a secretary at Submarine Signal Corp. Coming back to Benedicta, Terese married Carroll Vincent Albert on August 27, 1945. Together they spent the next 53 years teaching their children care and compassion for all of those whom their lives touched. Terese belonged to numerous organizations including St. Benedict’s Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, VFW Post 2299 and The Red Hats. She went on to further her education by going to school and acquiring her CNA license. She held the position as town clerk for numerous years but her life long career was as a U.S Postmaster for 28 years.

Mom had the most beautiful majestic baby blue eyes and if you were lucky enough to have looked into them then, as the Irish will say, you were lucky enough! Saturday you could always be assured of the unforgettable aroma of Mom’s infamous bread and rolls baking in the oven to feed all of the family and who ever would stop by. The Red Sox would be on the radio or TV if a game was being played as she loved to follow her beloved Red Sox. We were all happy for Mom when her loyalty was rewarded with a 2004 World Series win.

She is survived by her eight children, Bonnie Stratton and husband, Terry of Wildwood, FL and their children Reggie, Laurie and Terri; Don Albert and wife, Kathy of Mesa, AZ, and children, Kim and Cory; Billy Albert and wife, Janie of Benedicta and their children, Tracey and Ryan; Timmy Albert of Benedicta and his daughter, Dale; Sally Bray of Hampden and husband, Steve, and daughter, Darcey; Cindy Simons and husband, Steve, of Tow, TX, and daughters, Amy, Kaci, Sara and Abbi; Nancy Rogel of Vista, CA, and husband, John, and daughters, Cristina, Brittany, Amber and Danielle; Ginny McCarthy of Newbury Park, CA, and children, Derrick Jr, Breawna and Carroll. She loved each and every one of her grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; and her six siblings, Thelma Brennan, Gladys Brennan, Carlene Michaud, Madeline Thomas, Virginia Bulger and Patsy Brennan. The heavens have rejoiced as an Irish angel has gone home.
