The menu will include bean-hole beans, hot dogs, barbecued chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, roll and homemade dessert. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.
Camp owners will also be on hand selling their handmade crafts during the supper, and souvenirs will be on sale with a new logo this year, including hoodies, T-shirts, long sleeve T-shirts, mugs, travel mugs, tote bags, lunch bags and more.

Annual Business Meeting

The annual business meeting of the SquaPan Outing Club will be held on Sunday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at Dave and Phyllis McIntyre’s camp on the Seven Islands Road.
Participants will discuss current issues and vote on four board member positions. Write-in nominees are welcome. All camp owners are encouraged to attend.

Bottle Drive

Mapleton Girl Scout Troop 187 will hold a bottle drive on Saturday, July 9, in the morning. Scouts and parents will make stops in Mapleton, Chapman and Castle Hill to pick up donations.
Those who wish may leave donations outside their home that morning, or may also drop off donations at Rick’s Redemption Center in Presque Isle. Just specify the donation is for Mapleton Girl Scout Troop 187.
For more information or to make a donation, call Lisa Dean at 762-6373 or Amanda Robinson at 267-1073.

Schedule change at MUB

Pastor Ken Phelps has announced a new schedule effective Sunday, July 10 at the Mapleton United Baptist Church. Each Sunday begins with fellowship time from 9-9:30 a.m. followed by worship and Awesome Journey from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and Sunday School and Awesome Journey from 10:45-noon.
Awesome Journey is the children’s ministry. This summer, under the leadership of Donna Thibault, children in grades 1-5 will learn about the “critters” God created. They will learn “Critter Facts” by observing and talking about live “critters” and they will learn how these animals are connected to God’s Word. There will be snacks, crafts, games and stories related to the “critter” of the week.
To register or for more information, contact Thibault at 764-3684.
