What an amazing week for golf or any other outdoor activity! Even on our 80-plus degree days there was a nice breeze and lots of play.

Our next event is our 51st Anniversary 18-hole Field Day on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. This is an individual stroke play event using 100 percent of player’s handicap. Cash prizes are awarded for both net and gross winners in four divisions: Mens A, B, C and Womens.

The cost for golf and dinner is only $20 per member or $30 for non-member (cart not included). After the round, enjoy the outdoor chicken BBQ with baked potato, coleslaw, rolls and gingerbread! Please call or sign up at the Pro Shop by Wednesday, July 13.

Pairs and Spares golfers met on Sunday. Pairs and Spares Mixed Scramble: 1, Greg Gayne, Heidi Hollis, Dawn and Steve Merry, 34; 2, Becky Kelley, John Porter, Tom Ryan and Di Tucker, 34; and 3, Ricky Bates, Carol Blood, Ralph Powers and Betty Smallwood, 35. The tiebreaker was determined by handicap.

Pairs and Spares golfers meet on Sundays at 3 p.m. There is a 2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!

Twilight League is underway. Tied for first in the American League are the teams of Warren Walker/Billy Dwyer and Stuart Kelley/Jon Smallwood. The National League front-runners are Peter Blood/Greg Gayne. Please remember to make up you matches prior to the next Tuesday. Thank you!

Junior Golf started on Tuesday, July 5. The times are 9 a.m. for grades 1-5 and 9:45 a.m. for grades 6-12. There is no fee for this clinic. You may still register for the clinic even if you do not attend the first day.
