Caribou City Manager Austin Bleess was elected the new Rotary Club president, and Steve Mazerolle was chosen president-elect.

“Rotary has done a lot of great things for our community,” said Bleess. “I am excited to lead the Rotary Club as we embark upon some great community projects in the coming Rotary year.”

Some of the projects club members completed this past year included donating money to the new playground equipment at the Hilltop School, new roofs on the dugouts at the Sincock Street ballfield, and the annual bicycle helmet giveaway to third-graders.

Bleess said the organization is considering ways that they can contribute to Caribou’s new elementary school project. “As our Rotary Club has always been a strong supporter of the youth in Caribou, this project is a perfect match,” he said.

Bleess said the club is always accepting new members and if anyone is interested in learning more, they can find more information online at www.caribourotary.org or by sending an email to caribourotary@gmail.com.
