Katahdin Trust promotes two to VP positions

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Katahdin Trust Executive Vice President of Commercial Services Peter St. John recently announced the promotions of two longtime bank employees who together have nearly 40 years of service at Katahdin Trust.

PTSHAR BU KATAHDIN CAMBRIDGE 28 16 18024885David Cambridge was promoted to senior vice president/commercial services officer and Kevin Plourde was named senior vice president/credit administrator.

“We are pleased to promote David and Kevin to their new positions,” St. John said. “These promotions are well-deserved and we are very proud to have such hard-working and devoted employees serving our customers.”

Cambridge joined the bank as assistant vice president/commercial services officer in 1999, was promoted to vice president in 2001 and to regional vice president in 2014. In his new role, Cambridge will continue to be responsible for overseeing business lending and development in the central and northern Aroostook areas.

Cambridge is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, New Hampshire and has volunteered in the community by serving as board member for Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development (LEAD), Chief of Course for Nordic Heritage Sport Club, member of the Loan Review and Forestry Cluster Steering Committees for Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC), member of the University of Maine at Fort Kent Board of Visitors, and former Selectman and Chairperson for the Town of Chapman. A Presque Isle native, Cambridge resides in Chapman with his wife, Carla. They have one grown daughter, Chelsae.

Plourde joined the bank in 1995 as assistant vice president/commercial services officer. In 1999 he was promoted to vice president/credit administrator. In his new role as senior vice president/credit administrator, Plourde will be responsible for the bank’s credit analysis and administration functions.

He is actively involved in the community and serves as a board member and former Treasurer of Helping Hands for Children and Families. Plourde resides in Caribou with his wife, Carol.
