Marian Munson
MUNSON, Marian, 94, Presque Isle, July 11, 2016. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
PRESQUE ISLE – Marian Munson died peacefully July 11, 2016, following a short illness. She was born July 31, 1921, in Washburn. She was the daughter of the late Levi A. Munson and Erma S. (Tibbetts) Munson.
Marian graduated from Washburn High School in 1939, and attended business school in Presque Isle. She was employed as a domestic in Hyannis Port, and Boston, Mass., as well as in Presque Isle. She then went to work for the Presque Isle Housing Authority for eight years, and retired after more than thirty years of service for Northern National Bank.
Marian was a faithful member of Washburn Pentecostal Church, and more recently of State Street Baptist Church in Presque Isle. She loved children and was a supporter of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Maine.
In addition to her parents, Marian was predeceased by her brothers, Harold A. “Barney” Munson and Willard “George” Munson.
She is survived by five adoring nieces and nephews: James Munson, Robert Munson, Arthur Munson, Lori Ann Rainey and Teresa Golan.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Washburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Washburn Pentecostal Church, P.O.
