Athletes qualified for the state based on their performances at the regional track meet, held June 28 in Caribou. At both meets, children were allowed to participate in one field event and two running events and the relay or two field events and one running event and the relay.
In the boys 7-8 competition, Joseph Scott finished sixth in the 400 meter, (1:41.22).
In the 9-10 age group, Isiaih Ervin won the 800 meter (3:11.81); and was fifth in the standing long jump (5-7.5). The 9-10 relay team of Michael Fitzpatrick, Kanyun McNinch, James Ruffin and Ervin finished third in the 4×100 relay (1:10.44).
In the 11-12 age group, Kye Flewelling won the 100 meter (15.23); and the standing long jump (6-11).
In the 13-14 age group, Brandon Roshto won the 100 meter (13.38); was fifth in the 200 (28.90); and fourth in the standing long jump (6-10).
In the girls 7-8 age group, Victoria Ervin was second in the 100 meter (18.15); first in the 200 meter (40.59); won the standing long jump (4-10); and was part of the 4×100 relay team which also included Alixandria Bell, Presely Goodwin and Janey Stone that finished third (1:31.98).
Also in that age group, Bell also competed in the 200 meter, finishing fifth (55.29); and Stone was third in the softball toss (37-0).
In the 9-10 age group, Camille Callnan won the 50 meter (8.36); Ariana Ardell was third in the 100 meter (17.40); and Paige Bosse was fifth in the 100 meter (17.78). The 4×100 relay team of Bose, Kathryn Fitzpatrick, Madeline Beals and Callnan was third (1:14.14).
Also in that age group, Ardell was fourth in the standing long jump (5-5.5); and Callnan was fourth in the softball toss (69-11).
In the 11-12 age group, Isabella Ardell won the 200 meter dash (33.37), while Sadie Thompson was second (33.44) and Elena Ardell was fifth (35.61). Also, in the 400 meter, E. Ardell was first (1:18.36); Aliya Sabattis-Webber was third (1:25.22) and Skyler Larson fourth (1:26.50).
Also in the 11-21 group, the 4×100 relay team of Hope Royal, Paige Royal, Kayliegh McNinch and Abby Fitzpatrick placed first (1:07.56). The team of E. Ardell, I. Ardell, Sadie Thompson and Ellie Grant placed fifth (1:18.32); Thompson was second (6-3) in the standing long jump, while Kenzie Hodgkins was fifth (5-7); and P. Royal was fifth (75-9) in the softball toss.
In the girls 11-15 1,600 meter event, Larson finished first (6:49.20).
