Conservation voters endorse local lawmaker

To the editor:
The Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund has endorsed incumbent Rep. Robert Saucier, the Democratic candidate for House District 147.

Saucier was first elected to office in 2012, and is seeking re-election to for a third term to represent his district, which includes part of Presque Isle.
As a member of the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee Rep. Saucier was a vocal advocate for managing Maine’s public lands for recreation as well as timber harvesting. He understands Maine’s natural resource economy and its dependence upon clean air and water. Rep. Saucier will continue working to protect what is important to his constituents in the State House.
At Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund, we work to elect conservationists who will protect our natural resources once they are in office. Who we elect matters – particularly at the state level, where we have the opportunity to advance policies that support our outdoor heritage and protect our air, water and public health.
