TPP is a bad deal
To the editor:
Like many members of our community, I am worried that politicians are not working for the best of our state’s economy.
Congress is letting us down. Currently, we are forced to compete for jobs with cheap labor overseas, and even hard work can’t compete with uncontrolled free trade and global economics.
It doesn’t take a long memory to recall that Congressman Bruce Poliquin was undecided on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) for years, a deal which will continue to ship our jobs overseas. He came out against it this year once the election started – go figure. This should have been so easy for him, but he waited and waited and waited until it was obviously a political advantage.
Not the kind of leadership I’m looking for.
