Charity Challenge another success

The 28th annual Charity Challenge, held July 16 and 17, 2016 has been billed as one of the most successful in the history of the event. More than $3,800 dollars was raised for Special Olympics of Aroostook.

The unique format features two nine-hole golf scrambles at Limestone Country Club July 16 and two more at Long Lake Country Club July 17.
Winners at Limestone on the first day were AJ Cloukey, Kati Roy, Tony Roy and Tom Richard, who took the gross title in the morning with a 3-under-par 33. Net winners were Matt Bouchard, Shawn Bouchard, Mike Verdecchia and Alex Ferguson.
Afternoon winners for gross were John Pelletier, Mike Saucier, Darren Barnes and Dustin Saucier with a 33 and on the net side, Steve St. Peter, Corey Dickinson, Mike McNulty, Vince Pelletier and John St. Thomas picked up the victory.
On Sunday, the team of Paul Brideau, Rick Pelleter, Norm Doucette and Michael Ayers fired at the pin all day and won both rounds, shooting 7-under-par 29 in both tournaments.
Sunday morning net was captured by McNulty, St. Peter, Vince Pelletier and Sam Robertson.
Sunday afternoon net winners were Cloukey, Kati Roy, Tony Roy and Richard.
