Four seats open on Caribou boards

CARIBOU, Maine — Local residents can pick up nomination papers for the upcoming Nov. 8 Municipal election on Aug. 15 at the City Clerk’s office in the Municipal Building.

The four open seats are two three-year terms on City Council, one three-year term on the RSU 39 School Board, and one three-year term on the Jefferson Cary Memorial Hospital Fund board of directors.

Those who wish to hold one of these positions need to be a registered voter in the city and also need nomination papers signed by at least 25 other registered voters in Caribou.

Councilors holding the open seats are David Martin and Joan Theriault. Tanya Sleeper holds the available RSU 39 position, and the Hospital Fund opening is presently held by Athill Hebert.
