To the editor:
I took my draft horses to the Houlton and Presque Isle draft horse shows. What a fun time we had.
I would like to thank Adam Hutchinson, Judge Romain, all the ring and admin folks who helped put it on in Houlton; George and Nancy Allen, Judge Steve, and all the ring folks in Presque Isle. Both fair committees and the sponsors — Aroostook Milling and Pat’s Pizza — need to be thanked also.
I especially want to thank everyone who helped me with my horses. I couldn’t show them without your help.
And finally, the spectators. We all like showing off our horses and it is more fun when the bleachers are filled. Thanks for coming.
Both shows are laid back and just plain fun. If you have drafts, I urge you to consider bringing them next year and if you don’t, come and watch.
