Caribou man bought drugs online
BANGOR, Maine — A Caribou man will spend 28 months behind bars after he was sentenced Thursday in a bath salts case, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Dustin Giles, 31, who pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiring to distribute bath salts in January, also was ordered to serve three years of supervised release.
Giles was sentenced by Justice John Woodcock, Jr., in U.S. District Court in Bangor.
Court documents indicate Giles conspired with others in Aroostook County between January 2012 and June 2014 to obtain bath salts overseas online. Then the drugs were distributed.
Giles was supplied with the contraband by another member of the conspiracy, and he distributed it to multiple customers.
