KeyBank building sold at auction

One of the larger unoccupied buildings in downtown Presque Isle has been purchased in an auction.
The KeyBank at 187 State Street was sold in an online-only auction, with a nominal opening bid of $50,000, through Williams & Williams.

The deal with the highest bidder, whose identity has not been disclosed, is on track to close later this month, said Cindy Dees, marketing vice president and broker with the Williams & Williams auction house. The buyer has not stated any intentions for the building.
Built in 1978, the 43,000 square foot office building sits on on a 0.55 acre lot. The building was vacated in 2013 when KeyBank consolidated its Presque Isle and Ashland branches into a new building on outer Main Street.
