Mattila joins Katahdin Trust
HOULTON — James A. Mattila has joined Katahdin Trust Company as assistant vice president, commercial services officer.
Based at the bank’s Houlton location, he will be responsible for business lending and development in southern Aroostook County.
Mattila joins Katahdin Trust after spending eight years at The County Federal Credit Union, having served as loan officer and most recently as branch manager in Houlton.
“We are pleased to have James join us,” said Peter St. John, Executive Vice President, Commercial Services. “His experience in business development and his community outreach will be a tremendous asset in his new position at Katahdin Trust as we continue to grow our relationships with small businesses throughout The County.”
Mattila, a Caribou native, has earned his commercial lending diploma from the Center for Financial Training and attended the Young Professionals Institute in Presque Isle.
Committed to community, he is an active member of the Houlton Rotary Club, currently serving as Sergeant at Arms. Mattila is also a member of the Empower Aroostook Board, United Way of Aroostook Board, United Way of Aroostook Appropriations Committee, Northern Star Committee, and serves as the United Way of Aroostook Campaign Committee Chair.
He resides in Houlton with his wife Catherine and their children Nolan and Delilah.
