HOULTON — Brian E. Swales, 66, died after an extended illness the evening of August 4 at Madigan Estates in Houlton. Born in Houlton on March 16, 1950, he was the son of Palmer H. and Noreen E. Swales.
Brian attended schools in Houlton for ten years and graduated from Brewer High in 1968. He received a BA in Economics from Boston University in 1972 and his law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1977. Upon graduation from Franklin Pierce, Brian immediately returned to Houlton where he practiced law for the rest of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Jim. He is survived by his brother Bill and wife Joann of Bangor and brother Norman and wife Carolee of Fort Myers, Florida; two nephews, James and John; a niece, Holly; three grand nieces, Delaney, Chloe and Charli; and a grand nephew, Sean.
