Wow! What a busy weekend, Mother Nature surely did not slow done the die hard golfers. Sixty-three people participated in the annual County Open Scramble to benefit the Health Services Foundation.
There was no Pairs and Spares this past Sunday due to weather and the delay of the County Open Scramble start time. Pairs and Spares golfers meet on Sundays at 3 p.m. There is a $2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
Results of The County Open Scramble are as follows: First Gross, Dylan Flewelling, Gaige Flewelling, Ryan Brewer and Jeremy Tarr, with a 55. Second Gross went to Alex Donovan, Ryan Dee, Porter Gervais and Sam Peabody, with a 58. Third Gross was Barrett Potter, Matt Day and Darin Crane, with a 59.
First Net went to Steve Merry, Clay Halliday, Steve Edwards and Corey Halliday, with a 48.4. Second net belongs to Bob Gray, Sean Dolamont, Kyle Bouchard and Marty Bouchard at 49.1. Third net went to Steve Walker, Parker Walker, Hunter Walker and Tim Thorenson with a 50.8.
Longest Drive for women was won by Ashley Wallace, while Sam Peabody won the men’s event.
Closest to the Pin winners were: No. 4 Hole, Austin Lancaster; No. 7 hole, Warren Walker; No. 11 Hole, Rick Robinson; and No. 16 Hole, Joe Bishop.
The third annual Ladies Luau Golf Scramble is coming up on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
The day starts off with breakfast from 9 to 10 a.m. The 18-hole scramble begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start. The cost is $40 for non-member and $35 for members.
The fee includes green fees, carts, breakfast, dinner after golf and prizes. You can bring a bag lunch or order from the restaurant. Bring your own foursome or we can put you on a team.

The course will be on Wednesday, Aug. 17 for Upper St. John Senior Mens until 3 p.m.
