Sara Da Silva Pereira, daughter of her late mother, Pastor Maria Do Rosario da Silva Pereira and her late father, Pastor Gilberto De Santana Pereira Filho of Bahia, Brazil, and Bryan Whitaker, son of Joseph and Sherry (Jackins) Whitaker of Silver Spring, Maryland, were married on June 11, 2016.
The ceremony was held at Fort Myer chapel in Fort Myer, Virginia with Pastor Steven Mills officiating.
The best man was Jason Whitaker, brother of the groom. Rebecca Ferreira, cousin of the bride, was one of the bridesmaids. The vocalist was Margaret Jackins, the groom’s Aunt, who sang “Listen to Our Hearts” in Portuguese and English.
Following the reception, the couple had their honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii.
The couple received many cards and gifts. They wish to thank all their friends and family. They appreciate everyone, from the local area as well as those who traveled from places such as Maine, Nebraska, Rhode Island, Texas and Brazil, who attended their wedding.
Sara and Bryan also send their thanks to all who could not be there in person but kept them in their thoughts and prayers on their special day.
