CARIBOU – Harold J. Adams, Jr., 76 passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was born in Fort Fairfield, the son of Harold and Hilda (Mason) Adams, Sr.
Harold worked for over 40 years selling auto parts, most of that time in his own business, Car Quest, of Caribou. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course with some good friends. He also spent many hours working in his vegetable garden, which he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (Norbeck), his children and their spouses, Rick and Ruth, Randy and Debbie, Mark and Kathleen, and Jill Westin all from Caribou, his brothers and their spouses, Wayne and Fern, Jerre and Ellen, all from CT, Michael and Karen of NH, and Scott of Fort Fairfield. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Jamie, Megan, Emily, Amanda, Justin, Samantha and Molly, his great grandchildren, Liv, Lydia, and Andrew.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Cecil, Philip, and Edmund.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 11 a.m., at the Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church in New Sweden. A reception will follow services at the church.
