Roland R. Martin

     CARIBOU — Roland R. Martin, 80, passed away August 18, 2016 at Bangor.

     He was born in Keegan, May 12, 1936, son of the late Peter and Mamie (Ouellette) Martin.   He spent his entire life working as an auto mechanic for local car dealers for over 43 years.  He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. He was a very hard worker, and in recent years enjoyed working on local potato farms and in the woods.  He took his work seriously and enjoyed travelling, sharing stories and memories with his loved ones and friends. 

     Mr. Martin is survived by his six siblings and their families:  Joseph and Dolores Martin, Bernard and Sandra Martin; Noreen and Phil Desrosiers; Jeanne and Conrad Gauthier; Cecile and Duane Sands; Agatha Wardwell and partner, Kenneth Doody, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Peter Martin, his parents, and older brother, Norman Martin, and sister-in-law Doris M. Martin.  

     Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Thursday, August 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 26, at 11 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caribou, officiated by Roland’s nephew, Rev. Kevin J. Martin.  

     Following the burial, family and friends are welcome to a light reception at the Sacred Heart Church Hall.
