Last weekend was one of the nicest times for golf this year. Many people were playing to tune up for upcoming tournaments.
This weekend will be the Club Championship/President’s Cup on Saturday and Sunday in the morning. This event is open to all members and will be a fun time. The Club Championship will be two-day low gross winner and President’s Cup will be handicap. It’s not too late to join the fun.
The following weekend, we will hold the Babe Caron Memorial member-guest/member tournament. Put your two-person team together and sign up. Saturday is 80 percent handicap and Sunday will be full handicap. You can play either day or both.
The Friday night social will feature the popular long drive contest and new this year, an accuracy approach shot of about 130 yards. This tourney is the climax of our golfing season, and it will fill up fast.
The Lakeside Restaurant continues to be well received and is busy every night. We now are extending Happy Hour pricing to the restaurant until 6 p.m. On Friday, Sept 2, 2016 at 6 p.m. the group “The Undertones” will be providing music in the restaurant.
