Three vehicle crash on Parson Street
Accident sends three to hospital
Three people took a trip to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries Friday afternoon after a three-way crash in Presque Isle.
The crash started when Lisa Hernandez of Houlton, who was driving westbound on Park Street, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Parsons Street and pulled in front of Fabien Pelletier of Wallagrass, according to Presque Isle Police Officer Lucas Hafford.
Hernandez’s 2014 Nissan sedan collided with Pelletier’s 2012 Ford van, with the van going off the road and Hernandez’s car spinning around and striking Karen Flewelling, who was driving north on Parsons Street in a 2011 Toyota, according to Hafford.
Pelletier was transported by CROWN Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center for broken ribs and was later released, Hafford said. Hernandez and her daughter were also taken to TAMC for non-life threatening injuries and released.
According to Hafford, both Pelletier’s and Hernandez’s cars were totaled, while Flewelling’s vehicle sustained minor damage. None of the passengers in Flewelling’s vehicle were injured, he added.
