The turnover rate (the percentage of employees that leave the company over a specific measured period of time) is a key metric in determining an organization’s health and employee satisfaction.
A recent study indicates the average turnover rate for individuals in civil service is 12.6 percent. By reducing turnover rate, the organization reduces recruitment costs and costs associated with training new hires while retaining knowledge and building deeper, longer-term customer relationships. Over the last year, the turnover rate at the City of Presque Isle was only 2 percent.
